Waiting is one of God’s most powerful tools of grace. God doesn’t just give us grace for the wait. The wait itself is a gift of grace. You see, waiting is not only about what you will receive at the end of the wait. Waiting is about what you will become as you wait. In calling us to wait, God is rescuing us from our bondage to our own plan, our own wisdom, our own power, our own control. In calling us to wait, God is freeing us from the claustrophobic confines of our own little kingdoms of one and drawing us into a greater allegiance to his Kingdom of glory and grace. Waiting is more than being patient as situations and other people change. Waiting is about understanding that you and I desperately need to change. God is using the grace of waiting to change us at the causal core of our personhood, the heart.

Father - I come to you as humbly as I know how first and foremost thanking You for this day and for the life you have given each and everyone of us. I pray Lord that you would continue to use us to spread the Good News and that you would continue to work through us in mighty and unimaginable ways. I pray that You lead us and enlarge our footsteps so that our feet will not slip. I pray that You encourage us to share the Gospel with those who we think aren’t “interested.” I pray You draw us closer to You by Your Spirit. On The Road of Healing

Hurt people hurt people. People who are filled with brokeness, unforgiveness, bitterness & pain…& in an attempt to forget all of that they try to cover themselves with their idea of love. Not truly addressing and uprooting their brokeness, unforgiveness, bitterness & pain, their idea of love is not enough to heal themself. When they’re on the line of defense they shield themselves with the brokeness, unforgiveness, bitterness & pain. They don’t understand that love, the true love, is unconditional & seeks not it’s own… They dont understand that love is the best defense in battle. It is impenetrable, instead it penetrates…..it consumes. It’s pure. | On the road of healing.
